Shadow Oil Filter Adaptor Sandwich Plate

The oil pressure sensor adapter, also known as the oil filter sandwich plate adapter, is a kit that sandwiches between the oil filter and the block.  This is where the circulating oil is filtered to remove impurities, and it allows you to measure both the oil pressure and temperature. The oil filter element can be either a standard or paper type, and the adapter is compatible with standard filter elements.

Most Japanese car models, such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Suzuki, and Subaru, use standard oil filter elements. The thread sizes for these filter elements are typically 3/4-16UNF and M20*1.5P, and the general oil pressure sensor adapter comes with both thread options.

The GT86 adapter is specially designed for the Subaru FA20 and FA24 engines (found in models like the BRZ, GR86, WRX, and Forester XT), as well as for the Honda L15B (found in the CRV5 and Civic 10) and Honda K20C1 engines (found in the FK2 and FK8).

Additionally, there are oil pressure sensor adapters specifically developed for European cars. For example, the VAG Group's EA113 and EA211 engines have dedicated adapters:

• EA113 / 2.0 TSI engines are found in the following models: Audi A3/S3, Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi TT/TTS, VW Jetta, VW Golf GTI/R, VW Tiguan, VW Scirocco, VW Passat B6, SEAT Leon FR Mk2, SEAT Leon Cupra, SEAT Altea, SEAT Toledo Mk3, and SEAT Exeo.

• EA211 / 1.4 TSI engines are used in Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Passat, Skoda Octavia, Skoda Rapid, Skoda Superb, Audi A3, and Audi A4.

Each of these models has a corresponding oil pressure sensor adapter.

The oil pressure sensor adapter allows you to connect both the oil temperature and oil pressure sensors on the same unit without any modifications to the engine. It installs directly onto the oil filter, capturing data as the oil circulates back to the filter. The adapter is designed to fit 1/8 NPT threads and is precision-machined to ensure the hole position error is within 0.01mm.

Made from 6061 aluminum alloy, the oil pressure sensor adapter offers excellent heat dissipation and anti-corrosion properties. We also apply an anodized coating to protect the aluminum from oxidation, improving the adapter's durability and reducing oil viscosity.
